The question

As a mentor in the Public Health space, like many other streams, I have observed conversations where this question is constantly debated:

“Is AI going to replace the human element in the Public Health space?”

My perspective

AI won’t replace public health professionals, but those who use AI will replace those who don’t.

We are currently at a crucial crossroads. In February 2026, we’ve moved past the “experimental” phase of AI. It is now becoming the core infrastructure of our global health systems. I’ve been spending my time lately studying the specific possibilities that this shift creates for the next generation of leaders:

From data to action

I’m looking at how AI “co-pilots” are empowering frontline workers to make real-time decisions in rural clinics, turning weeks of paperwork into seconds of insight.

The ethics of innovation

As a mentor, I am deeply focused on how we can use AI to close the health equity gap rather than widen it. We need leaders who understand the “black box” of algorithms as well as they understand community needs.

A new breed of professional

The roles I’m mentoring for now didn’t exist five years ago—Digital Epidemiologists, AI Ethicists, and Precision Public Health data Analysts.

My call to you

If you are looking for a career that combines cutting-edge technology with profound human impact, pursue Public Health now. The field needs your empathy, your ethics, and your unique human intuition to guide these powerful tools. AI is the engine, but we need you to be the driver. Whether you are a student or a professional looking to pivot, there has never been a more exciting time to lead.

Let’s connect!

If you’re ready to navigate this new frontier, I’m here to help you chart your path. The tools are ready. Are you?
